What youll be doing

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role supports servers, networks, cloud platforms, and end-user systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability. The Systems Administrator also assists with system upgrades, data backups, and technical support across the organization.

• Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows/Linux), network hardware, and software systems.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies in Active Directory and related systems.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system uptime.

• Perform regular data backups and implement disaster recovery strategies.

• Administer email systems, cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS), and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

• Ensure cybersecurity best practices, including patch management, firewall configuration, and antivirus updates.

• Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

• Support helpdesk operations by resolving complex technical issues escalated from IT support staff.

• Plan and execute system updates, migrations, and new technology deployments.

• Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to support business goals and projects.

What skills and experience you'll bring to us

• Associate or bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage solutions, and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
