What you'll be doing

The AP/AR Manager will lead the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team and oversee department processes. This is a hands-on position and in addition to day-to-day activities, responsibilities will include implementing process improvements, optimizing technology, and training and developing the team. This position will report to the Associate Controller.

• Provide daily supervision and support of A/R and A/P team (8 direct reports)
• Review existing AP/AR processes, identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to include automation.
• Maintain proper internal controls.
• Manage 1099 reporting.
• Ensure all related subledgers are reconciled monthly and assist with external audit requests.
• Ensure accounting clerical duties such as filing and preparing various excel reports are completed timely.
• Key contact for escalated or complex customer and vendor concerns
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
• Other duties as required to support the AP/AR function and Accounting team.

What you'll bring to us

• BS Degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of three years' experience in a similar or adjacent role
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent organization skills with attention to detail
• Skills to manage competing priorities and unexpected tasks.
• Analytical thinking coupled with the ability to develop plans and processes to complete work.
• Business acumen to bring experience and knowledge to bear in developing solutions to problems.
• Ability to engage appropriately with colleagues.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Microsoft Excel, Billing, Construction Projects - Accounting
